ARAW CELEBRATION MESSAGE

Araw or a foundation celebration is a point to bring into our minds in relation with the creation from barangay into a municipality.

Tukuran is one of the center Municipalities of the first district in Zamboanga del Sur and let us go beyond for progress.Once again on APRIL 1, 2012 is the 53^rd ARAW of Tukuran and it is our dream to unite and secure   peace in the community to continue the growth and the development.

I am glad to note that one objective of this celebration is to encourage all the populace to support  the development  of the Municipality  since it started to cultivate unity  for aiming large progress in town .

Your contribution for the success of this celebration is to be recognized and be appreciated and   I valued you as one of my partners in realizing good governance in our Municipality.

In this celebration let us think a positive attitude for progress of the place .Let us contribute our beliefs and efforts to the challenge of bringing about a better life and we thank GOD for giving us approval for all the  programs  we have done and I welcome you all .

A MAN WITH KIND HEART IS NOW IN TUKURAN

The Proof of Generosity

TUKURAN ZDS – Mr. Macario Villarin Tingson one of the sons of Mr. Oris Tingson a native from Tambongon, Pantukan, Compostela Valley and married to Mrs. Rebecca Pasanting  a residence of Tukuran ZDS .The  couple have  had blessed of 4 children that made them successful parents for they nurtured well behind of crisis and shortage of  resources  in the family beside they pushed their children for good education.

One of their children is Hon. Jo-ann Marie Tingson who won last 2010 election as a municipal councilor and she serves as a public servants. Macario a villager at the shoreline of his young life at7 years of age with his fisherman’s father used to go to in fishing for all he knew of his lives is to sell the fish caught of his father from fishing to the villagers. As a child never went to play with playmates and that he never experienced during his childhood.

Greener Pasture

On the year of 80’S the family have had moved to Zamboanga del  Sur in the rural community of Tukuran they lived again alike from the village of Tambongon  Com Val  at the seashore because of his father’s fishing livelihood.

Education

He just graduated high school because of financial shortage and was contented of the diploma acquired considering the fact that he could never continued for a college education.LivelihoodAcquiring the skill as a fisherman from his father he accustomed to do fishing and made it for a livelihood to help in sustaining life especially to his brothers and sisters. Until one day he found out a different way of work in life as a- fish –weighing scale of the fishing business of Mr. William Yu the Chinese business man from Pagadian City.

Sustenance

He had sustained while associated with hardship instead he made an inspiration that in every’’ breathe’’ life is to pursue.

Shelter

He built a simple house until he got married and continued the challenge in life.Macario used to live simple and remain to be a kind hearted for  friends , relatives and families   by all means he is very kind  until one day he was gratified through a technique given by Mr. W YU to become a little business man in fishing  simultaneously his  fishing boats  was also blessed  of much  harvest  and that DODONG ORIS or MACARIO started a good life.

The  advocacy  remain great in helping people through dole –out scheme of financial assistance in time particularly in  health crisis that the less privilege can’t afford to go to the hospital immediately  because of money constraints.

Belief in Religion

A Roman Catholic a devotee of the Santo Niño de Cebu . DODONG ORIS built a chapel in KAMUNGGAYAN ,  Santo Niño, Tukuran ,Zamboanga del Sur. The Chapel built under the designation of Saint of  Santo Niño  de CEBU and it is celebrated annually that would be  filled   every 2^ND week on the month of JANUARY.

The bottom line how did it started? It began with the funny story through  group of friends as to have a  DUNGO-AN or a little wharf  and it went true because  right there an  offered  lot  amounting  of PHP 190,OOO.OO as well as  compensated with the  area , Dodong did not waste time he paid and that the chapel erected .The activity of the fiesta celebrations of the  Santo Niño  de CEBU de TUKURAN was created and highlighted with many activities like the SINULUG festivity the street dancing competition basketball, kiddy boxing and amateur  singing contest.

All the prizes were heartily given by the founder of the Senor  Santo Niño  de Cebu de Tukuran chapel. When ask ‘’ I can’t turn back for those unfortunate asking for my help particularly in the shortage of the basic needs like foods and medicines’’.

It is very usual for him that in time of crisis he easily dole-out - financial as needed nevertheless DODONG is not a POLITICIAN he is just a simple citizen of TUKURAN.

Calamities

Right after the Sendong flash floods the group and DODONG ORIS  went to Iligan City and gave financial assistance to the Sendong Victims with groceries and clothing and proceeded for Cagayan de Oro City as well as  helped  the Sendong victims in the place.

The muted  supports  for the Sendong victims never remained as that the people said so as to describe  about  the man  who gave them with no any listing of names they just filled in line and received each PHP 500.00.

The news team made a survey until found out that the man lives in TUKURAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR.Through factual information and description the man is exactly Mr.Macario Villarin Tingson or Dodong Oris.
